I've wanted to try Roaming Dragon since I saw them featured on Eat St. A friend from work and I have been talking about going to visit their truck up at Robson and Burrard for the last few weeks, but they've been off the street so much that we hadn't had the chance until now. Luckily, she agreed to take the pictures, as I only had my iPhone with me.

The Noodle Box
After hearing my co-workers rave about how good Noodle Box is and how good the Spicy Peanut Box is, we all decided to go there for lunch. When we arrived, the restaurant was relatively busy so we ordered our food to go. Noodle Box is the type of restaurant where you would order at a counter and then sit down while they make the food and bring it out to you. After looking through all the options on the menu board, I decided to listen to my co-workers recommendation and got the Spicy Peanut Box with Tofu. The Spicy Peanut Box cost about $13. The Noodle Box is a bit pricier than most noodle places. Average prices here are about $12.

Tropika
The girlfriend has long preferred Tropika to Vancouver's other predominant Malaysian restaurant, Banana Leaf, and as I had only tried the latter, we'd been looking for an opportunity to correct that. We visited the location on Robson, and after climbing the stairs, were greeted and seated immediately.
We decided to start with some Roti Canai. The bread was soft and chewy, yet slightly flaky, and the curry dipping sauce was very delicious, having just the right amount of spice. This was a great start to the night. This was at least as good as Banana Leaf's version.
